Alright, so I'm playing against my buddy and I have in play my Hasty Sacrophyle(3 str 3 life 5 speed), which I attack with, and a poison blade (rogue item-gear. if the attached character inflicts damage to a character, destroy the damaged character).
My opponent has and is blocking with Adriel, Defender of Maraduun (3 str 3 life 3 speed. Unique Adriel. If battling damage is inflicted to this card while it is blocking, reduce the amount to 0[zero]). Since my sacrophyle hits first with its 5 speed, would the poison blade still come into effect even though the damage is being reduced? Yes, the damage is reduced to 0 but the amount of damage my poison blade is deal is 0 (zero) damage. If the damage were prevented (like with Limited Liability), I could understand, but because the damage is still there (as zero) it would go through. Can a judge/ official confirm/deny this? Thanks.
